Eat food. Mostly plants. Not too much. That's the bottom line message of this book. Even if you don't have time to read the whole book, click on the link above and at least read the introduction. It pretty much sums everything up that I think is important to know about eating the right way. The book is awesome, seriously. It is very straight forward and simplifies eating a mostly plant based, whole foods diet. It provides simple rules for eating like: "Avoid food products that contain ingredients that a third-grader cannot
pronounce" and "avoid ingredients that no ordinary human would keep in the
pantry." One of my favorites - "it is not food if it arrived through the window of your car." If you follow the rules in this book, your life will get better, I promise.
This is one of the first books I read on this topic. It's all about nutrition and how harmful the Western diet is. It helps you to learn what real food is and outlines what you should and shouldn't be eating. It's great!
This is my favorite cookbook, hands down. She is the creator of 101 Cookbooks, where a lot of my recipes come from. Definitely buy this book, it's so worth it!
I'm still working on building my library, so in the meantime I recommend visiting here for some more suggested reading. This is probably my favorite blog, and I'm sure anything she recommends is great!
